Call Seniors for Food Security

Starting April 13, 2020,  Bay Area Korean Infoline (BAKI) staff and volunteers will call over 550 low income Korean seniors in East Bay, San Francisco and Santa Clara counties to assess their access to food during Shelter in Place orders. During this call, we will also assess seniors’ health, safety and wellness to connect them with relevant services available.

Senior Meal Prep and Delivery

We have up to 550 seniors who do not have enough food during COVID 19 Shelter in Place orders. We would like to bring restaurants to prepare meals for seniors $10 per person per meal, and deliver the prepared meal to homebound seniors. We need participation  from everybody to donate money to feed struggling seniors, and restaurants and grocery stores who can prepare food for $10 per person per meal. Providing one meal per day for 500 seniors will require $5,000 per day. Our goal is to provide meals for at least a month, making our fundraising goal $150,000.
